Fatbikes are booming on Quebec's snowy terrain! With this outdoor activity, nature holds no secrets for cycling enthusiasts. Thanks to fatbikes, it's now easy to ride on ice, snow, mud, or sand.

Popular with beginners and experienced riders alike, fat bikes are designed for winter riding. The good news is that Lanaudière is full of breathtaking winter landscapes and trails to explore. Come and try it out for yourself and ride around the region thanks to our many fat bike locations.

1. TOURNÉE DES CANTONS - RAWDON

There are 15 km of fatbike trails in an enchanting setting with several access points. The fatbike trails of the Tournée des cantons de Rawdon are accessible from the Hobbs-Morgan parking lot and the Rawdon Golf Resort, where you can also rent bikes. Adventure, challenge, spectacular scenery—discover all the beauty of Lanaudière's nature.

2. PARC LOUIS-PHILIPPE-DE GRANDPRÉ - SAINT-CÔME

Located in the heart of the village, Parc Louis-Philippe-De Grandpré is one of the first networks to offer fatbike trails for the winter season in Lanaudière. There are 31 trails for a total of 15 km of trails where nature is diverse and where you can also take a break on the banks of the L'Assomption River. The Gérard rest stop welcomes you by the fire during the winter season.

3. SAINT-FÉLIX-DE-VALOIS OUTDOOR TRAILS

The municipality offers over 18 km of marked trails for snowshoeing, cross-country skiing...and fat biking! These trails are accessible from the sandpit on Chemin de la Pointe-à-Roméo, where you will find parking.

4. MONT-TREMBLANT NATIONAL PARK - PIMBINA SAINT-DONAT SECTOR

Ride your fatbike at a leisurely pace on the La Chute-aux-Rats multi-use trail, which is 9 km round trip and gives you access to the sector's main attraction, a 17.4-meter frozen waterfall.

5. PARC DES PIONNIERS - SAINT-DONAT

The park's trails are recognized as a prime destination for fat biking, as well as cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and hiking. A total of more than 150 km of trails for all levels await outdoor enthusiasts in the municipality of Saint-Donat. You'll love being able to explore the forest in complete tranquility and at your own pace. You can also cycle in Nature-Études Park, on the Étangs trail, and toward the Le Branchu refuge.

6. TRANSTERREBONNE - GROUPE PLEIN AIR TERREBONNE

You can spend hours cycling along the many trails of TransTerrebonne. Groupe Plein Air Terrebonne also organizes one-hour guided fatbike tours starting from Pommeraie Park.

7. KINADAPT - RAWDON

Best known for dog sledding, Kinadapt offers magnificent trails (approximately 30 km) for fatbikes. You might even encounter a team of sled dogs hard at work! The snow-covered trails are open until April, but the trails are accessible year-round. Many customers regularly go there for outdoor cardio training! Reservations are required, and you must bring your own equipment.

8. À L'AUBERGE DU LAC TAUREAU - SAINT-MICHEL-DES-SAINTS

Want to combine a comfortable stay with fat biking? L'Auberge du Lac Taureau is the place to be! Fat bikes are available for rent on site, and you can ride along the marked trails that border the immense Taureau reservoir. After a long ride, what could be better than settling down comfortably by the fire with a drink in hand?

9. BRANDON TRAILS - SAINT-GABRIEL-DE-BRANDON

Come enjoy 27 km of marked trails with lookouts and rest areas, and ride your bike through the lush natural surroundings. Two heated rest stops allow you to enjoy your favorite sport in a pleasant environment. Take advantage of bike rentals at Véllo Lanaudière, located nearby in Mandeville.

10. PARC RÉGIONAL DES CHUTES MONTE-À-PEINE-ET-DES-DALLES - SAINTE-MÉLANIE

Fatbike enthusiasts will be delighted at the Parc Régional des Chutes Monte-à-Peine-et-des-Dalles. It is now possible to ride snow bikes on certain trails in the park. Two areas were developed in the first phase of the project. A 5 km beginner trail is accessible via the Sainte-Mélanie entrance, while a 7 km intermediate/advanced trail will be accessible via the St-Jean-de-Matha entrance. In addition, thanks to a partnership with Loisir et Sport Lanaudière, you can borrow a fat bike for FREE for a period of two hours!

11. FORÊT Ô CASCADES - RAWDON

Immerse yourself in the magic of winter by exploring their magnificent snow-covered landscapes! Whether you are a beginner or an expert, their 12 km of hiking trails are transformed into a veritable winter playground. On foot, skis, or fat bike, come enjoy this adventure in the great outdoors, where every pedal stroke or glide offers breathtaking views!
