Tourisme Lanaudière's Privacy Protection Policy
Responsible Use of Personal Information
Tourisme Lanaudière understands the importance of privacy to the individual and knows that earning the trust of its clients, suppliers and employees requires a sustained effort. The proliferation of electronic media today demands new strategies for protecting the privacy of the individual. We support unreservedly the law recently passed by the Canadian government the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Document Act aimed at protecting personal privacy. Not only do we welcome the adoption of this legislation, but we are continually seeking new ways to ensure that any personal information in our possession is protected and used in a responsible, respectful manner.
Tourisme Lanaudière does not sell, rent or disclose information on individuals to anyone or any organization, whether the information be of a personal, demographic or other nature.
Tourisme Lanaudière has put security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of user data in its possession. Tourisme Lanaudière operates data networks that are protected by passwords and industry-standard firewalls. The number of Tourisme Lanaudière employees who have access to user data is restricted. While Tourisme Lanaudière cannot guarantee that no loss, misuse or alteration of user data will ever occur, we are committed to using all of our resources and expertise to prevent such an eventuality.
