Whether you're looking to rent a SUP board (stand up paddleboard) or you've already got your own equipment, here's a list of places where you can enjoy a pleasant outing on the water.
1. Parc régional du Lac Taureau
The 95 km 2 of Lac Taureau are the ideal playground for all water sports enthusiasts. No wonder it's a popular spot for paddleboarders too! At the Baie-du-Milieu welcome station in the Parc régional du Lac Taureau, you can rent watercraft, including canoes, kayaks and paddleboards. If you've already got your own board, boat ramps are also open to the public. Before venturing out on Lac Taureau, it's important to learn about the best practices for preserving the Reservoir's ecosystems.
2. PUBLIC BEACH OF RAWDON
À la dérive locates paddleboards at Rawdon's municipal beach. The student-run business offers pedal boats, canoes, single and double kayaks and paddleboards on Lac Rawdon.
3. Groupe Plein Air Terrebonne
Groupe Plein Air Terrebonne (GPAT) is located in Parc de la Rivière, near the Rivière des Mille-Îles. It offers watercraft rentals, including paddleboards. It's a great place to explore on the water, with well-preserved natural environments and abundant birdlife.
4. Parc régional de la Forêt Ouareau
Paddleboard rentals are available in the Contreforts, Pont-Suspendu and Grande-Jetée sectors of the Parc régional de la Forêt Ouareau. At the Contreforts welcome station, paddleboarders can take advantage of the first Lac du Castor, while the other two sectors offer marked 3 km round-trip circuits on the river. Paddle the Ouareau River and enjoy the great outdoors. You can also use your own boat, but you must wash it before launching.
5. Circuit canotable de L'Assomption
We'll meet you at Parc Léo-Jacques in L'Assomption, where a shuttle will take you to the start of the 12 km circuit on the L'Assomption River in the Saint-Gérard-Majella sector. You can access this service with your own boat, or rent a canoe or kayak. For more information, contact the city at 514 209-2123.
6. L'Assomption River in and around Joliette
Paddleboards can be rented at three locations around Joliette to paddle a segment of the Rivière L'Assomption. At Parc Louis-Querbes, the city of Joliette makes boards available to visitors. At the Parc des Champs-Élysées in Notre-Dame-des-Prairies and the Maria-Goretti beach in Saint-Charles-Borromée, the company NatürSup is offering rental of its Lanaudière-designed boards.
7. Au Canot Volant
The Saint-Côme-based company offers guided or self-guided canoe or kayak trips down the river, but did you know they also have paddleboards for hire? It's possible to take a calm-water ride in front of the reception area.
8. Time'sup in Saint-Donat
At Parc national du Mont-Tremblant, in the Pimbina-Saint-Donat sector, Time'sup Aventures offers guided paddleboard activities, introductory courses and even SUP yoga. Theme evenings are also organized. Reservations required.
9. Courant Marin nautical center
In Saint-Gabriel-de-Brandon, you can access Lac Maskinongé via the municipal beach. Here you'll come across the Courant marin nautical center, which rents out watercraft of all kinds, including paddleboards. With a circumference of 20 km, the lake is an immense playground to explore!
10. Circuit canotable Chasse-galerie de l'Épiphanie
In L'Épiphanie, the town offers paddleboard rentals at Parc du Barrage. This canoe circuit lets you paddle along the Achigan River all summer long.
11. Parc des Pionniers de Saint-Donat
At Saint-Donat's municipal beach in Parc des Pionniers, a boat launch is available for paddling on Lac Archambault. The Club nautique de Saint-Donat is responsible for positioning the boats.
12. Station aventure Matawini à Sainte-Émélie-de-l'Énergie
Here you can rent non-motorized craft such as kayaks, paddleboards, canoes and fishing boats. Whether you need to rent or already have your own equipment, their stop is the ideal place to enjoy the beauty of the outdoors and connect with nature.
