Here are our good reasons for putting on your equipment one last time, before putting it away for good until next year.
1. The temperature is just right! The weather's fine, the sun's shining...
In March, you can look forward to both a nice powdery snowfall and a day warm enough to cook on the barbecue. While storms are rarer at this time of year, the last few centimetres and the cold night-time temperatures still allow the snow guns to propel a few extra flakes to extend the season. The mild temperature means you can spend longer on the slopes without feeling the need to warm up too often. If you have the freedom to manage your schedule as you see fit, don't hesitate to spontaneously plan a day of skiing as soon as the weather is favorable. The last few days to enjoy them are rather short and sometimes random, so don't waste any time and take advantage of them as soon as you can.
2. BYE BYE THE BIG DOWN JACKET AND THE FALSE COLLAR RAISED TO THE FOREHEAD
It's great to be able to move around more freely, instead of wearing heavy, warm clothes! Don't forget your sunglasses and, above all, your sun cream, as the rays can be particularly strong at this time of year. Our white skins need to be adequately protected to make the most of the day.
3. THE SUNNY TRAILS ARE YOURS!
Since some people have already packed up their equipment and called it a day, the slopes are wide open to welcome the real fans who want to enjoy their skiing for as long as possible. Some resorts even offer special end-of-season prices, so you can ski at a discount to end the season without breaking your budget. It's also a good time to play in the moguls, as they're less likely to be hard and icy at this time of year.
