Ville de L'Assomption

L'Assomption

An historic city whose streets are lined with fine old houses, L’Assomption has been well known since the 1830s for its famous college. It was almost made into a bishopric in the 19th century. L’Assomption is considered the birthplace of the famous arrowhead sash, a hand-woven textile product unique to the region. Other points of interest include the Oasis du Vieux Palais and the Théâtre Hector-Charland. Close by are the Pépinière Villeneuve.

Not far from Montréal, this is the ideal place to enjoy some quiet relaxation at two health centres and spas offering a wide range of superb treatments.
