FESTIVAL OF PLEASURES AND TRADITIONS | JANUARY 22 TO 26, 2025
The Town of L'Épiphanie is proud to announce that the southern region of Lanaudière now has its own traditional music festival! Winter lovers and fans of traditional Quebec music are invited to come and celebrate. The main attraction for festival-goers is, of course, the presence of the best traditional music artists and groups. Visitors can also enjoy the Ponpon Village with all its attractions, a spectacular lighted parade, an exhibition of local crafts and products, a creative workshop, buckwheat pancake tasting and even an apple pie contest!
LE GRAND FRISSON DE RAWDON | JANUARY 25, 2025
On January 25th, experience winter at its best at Rawdon's town beach with this new edition of the Grand Frisson. Throughout the day there will be entertainment, a fun cross-country ski team race, a snow bath challenge and a magic workshop. And don't forget the disco night with its electrifying characters and the torchlight stroll to discover the magic of winter. Children will love the big tube slide and the entertainment on the snow. La Bordée is a free winter carnival open to all that brings Terrebonne to life with a variety of fun activities and entertainment. Participants can meet colorful characters and take part in challenges. The mascot, Tourbi, will be on hand for souvenir photos. FESTI-GLACE DE LA VILLE DE JOLIETTE | January 31 to February 2, 2025
The City of Joliette announces the return of its popular winter event. This year, the festival will take place on the banks of the L'Assomption River. Festival-goers will be able to enjoy free shows and activities. Each day of the festival will be punctuated by family activities and cultural performances. Saint-Côme en glace | February 1 to 16, 2025
The Saint-Côme en glace festival has been held every February since 1967. This festival, unique in Quebec, has made the region famous! It's first and foremost a tradition of talent and passion, the work of more than 150 artisans. It's the hard work of many volunteers who come year after year to carve blocks of ice into magnificent masterpieces. People come from far and wide to admire the magnificent sculptures that line Main Street. Many activities and shows are also offered free of charge to festival-goers. FESTIVAL FIRE AND ICE IN REPENTIGNY | FEBRUARY 8 TO 16, 2025
Experience the winter at Lanaudière's largest outdoor event, the Festival Feu et Glace. A dozen activities will be offered free of charge to festival-goers: snow maze, slides, snow scooters, ice rink and more. There will also be numerous shows for young and old. JOLIETTE CHRISTMAS MARKET | NOVEMBER 28 TO DECEMBER 23, 2024
The Joliette Christmas Market is a must-see event to kick off the winter season. The Village des Artisans, a showcase of local know-how, brings together nearly 30 local producers and creators offering a wide range of unique products and original gifts. The 2024 edition will see the return of the Santa Claus Parade, to the delight of young and old alike. On Saturday, December 7, don't miss the Dog Christmas, a day dedicated to your four-legged companions. This year, we're introducing the Place Festive, a space dedicated to a variety of performances: piano, traditional music, choirs, children's storytelling and much more. These performances will take place every Friday at 6:30 pm, as well as Saturdays and Sundays at 2 pm, starting December 6th.
Marché de noël de l'assomption | November 28 to December 23, 2024
The Marché de Noël de L'Assomption returns from November 28th to December 23rd and promises to delight all visitors! This year, more than 60 exhibitors, a quarter of them new, will be present in charming wooden houses. You'll find chocolates, soaps, pasta sauces, olive oils, games, warm clothes and relaxation accessories. The quality of the products and the warm welcome of the exhibitors guarantee a unique experience. A major innovation for this 16th edition will be a 35-foot igloo, which will create an attractive family area for everyone. This project, entitled "Au pied du sapin", will feature a magnificent model inspired by Christmas stories.
