First and foremost, we must highlight the member businesses of Tourisme Lanaudière. These are among the region’s must-visit spots and deserve a prominent place in this directory.
When it comes to ice cream shops, Choco Chocolat is a must-visit on your list during your next trip to Joliette. Renowned for its artisanal chocolates, this chocolate shop also offers delicious frozen treats during the summer season. Their artisanal soft-serve ice cream changes flavors almost every week, and it’s always a delight to discover them.
The Côte-à-Joly Sugar Shack, located in Saint-Jean-de-Matha, is also an excellent choice and is very popular among fans of frozen treats. Grandfathers in syrup, S’mores waffle cones, crunchy caramel and chocolate swirls... these are just a few examples of what you’ll find on their utterly decadent menu.
At Miel de chez-nous, we invite you to discover the fascinating world of bees through a fun and educational program perfect for the whole family. After your tour, stop by their charming country-style shop to check out their dairy and treat yourself to a delicious ice cream.
Au Chalet Glacé in St-Gabriel-de-Brandon is a must-visit spot for ice cream lovers. It offers a wide variety of treats perfect for cooling off: ice cream cones dipped in one of 13 available chocolate flavors, decadent “avalanches,” fruity sorbets, “barbotines,” and “icebergs.” Classic treats are also on the menu, including banana splits, parfaits, brownies, shortcakes, and waffles. To top it all off, treat yourself to an iced coffee or an affogato, not to mention the homemade ice cream cakes available year-round (and even ice cream logs during the holiday season).
SNACKS
We can’t overlook Le Spot à poutine, located in Rawdon. Take advantage of your visit to order one of their delicious poutines and enjoy it while admiring the Dorwin Falls right in front of you.
La Bine, located in Mascouche, offers the perfect menu for a quick bite during the summer. Fried chicken sandwiches, ham grilled cheese, bacon mac and cheese, and more! Take the opportunity to relax in the specially designed barn.
If you're ever in Joliette, Chez Henri is a must-visit spot. People go there to try their famous Mammoth burger, their poutine, or their pizza.
Even though it’s considered more of a restaurant than a snack bar, we have to include TABOO cuisine rebelle, located in L’Assomption, which offers no fewer than 17 kinds of poutine and even more varieties of hamburgers.
